Julia Carolina
Programme Manager
Julia is a strategic planner and systems change facilitator helping social entrepreneurs and purpose-led organisations unite vision and execution with strategy, agility, and joy. With a career spanning nonprofits, startups, businesses, and cross-sector partnerships, she specialises in turning scattered ideas into focused strategies that build sustainable impact. Passionate about climate and social justice, Julia thrives on tackling tough challenges and helping leaders create inclusive, resilient communities.
Kevin Lovelady
Partnerships Officer
Kevin is a strategist who helps social enterprises, charities, CICs, and purpose-driven businesses overcome operational challenges and unlock their potential through digital transformation and smart systems. With expertise in technology, organisational efficiency, and strategic planning, he supports leaders in streamlining processes, boosting engagement, and building sustainable growth. Guided by values of social value, inclusivity, and collaboration, Kevin empowers changemakers to focus on what matters most: creating lasting social impact.
Andy Farquhar
Fundraising Officer
Andrew has over 25 years’ experience securing external grants and managing complex funded projects across the public and private sectors, Higher Education, and the NHS. Specialising in grant funding applications, tenders, and bids, he has supported small businesses, charities, and community organisations to win grants and build long-term resilience. His expertise also spans research funding and strategy in Higher Education, EU funding programmes, and the development of major cultural and international projects, including Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture 2008 and the Liverpool Pavilion at World Expo 2010 in Shanghai.
Tris Brown
Communications Officer
Tris Brown is a leading communications expert in the North of England, with 25+ years’ experience shaping reputations for global brands, cities, and universities. He helps organisations and places tell powerful stories that inspire growth and leadership, while also giving back through volunteer work in the arts and international relations.
Jeremy Barnes
Education Specialist
After 23 years as a successful primary headteacher, most of them leading the vibrant community at All Saints Catholic Primary School in Anfield, Jeremy now serves as the part-time Director of Primary Education at the Pope Francis Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, supporting schools across Sefton. Alongside this, he works as a schools inspector with Education Development Trust, evaluating British Schools abroad.
Gabriela Saenger Silva
Community Engagement & Programme Assistance
Gabi (she/her) is a Brazilian-UK-based arts practitioner, educator, gardener, and researcher whose work explores contemporary art biennials, art education, and socially engaged, decolonial practices. A PhD candidate at the Exhibition Research Lab at Liverpool John Moores University, her research examines the pedagogical potential of large-scale art events. Gabi has contributed to international conferences across Brazil, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Poland, and played a key role in educational and public programmes for institutions such as the Mercosul and Liverpool Biennials. She has also worked as a guest curator for the Bienal de São Paulo and participated in the collective curatorial programme at the International Slavery Museum. Gabriela is a member of the urban environmental cooperative Scouse Flowerhouse and an associate researcher for the Amazon Basin and Para-Educational Study Group (HFBK, Hamburg).

Goal
To help local Schools and Youth Centres co-design systemic solutions to local climate challenges.
Objectives
  • Build Climate Action Plans — grounded in place, linked to curriculum, and led by youth.
  • Prototype and deliver real projects — from energy audits and food growing to local campaigns.
  • Evaluate and share learnings — feeding back into regional policy and system-wide climate goals.
2. Core Campaign: The Future Diaries
Stories shape reality.
When told well, stories about climate are not just cautionary tales. They are invitations to empathy, to pride, to resilience, and to action.

Goal
To bridge the gap between climate disruption and everyday life.
Objectives
  • Gather and publish climate-themed short stories as digital reels and illustrated posts.
  • Produce printed mini-zines co-created with local voices.
  • Deliver spoken word nights showcasing local performers.
  • Host community storytelling workshops in partnership with a local hub.
  • Evaluate resonance, reach, and participation to inform a future full-scale rollout.

3. Core Partnerships: Climate is Everyone's Business, Sports for Climate, LCR Climate Map
Core Partnerships anchors climate action across three of Liverpool City Region’s most powerful spheres of influence: sport, organisations, and networks.

3. Core Event: ReImagine Festival & Conference
Bringing climate to the tables, streets, and sounds — literally!
The Reimagine Conference & Festival is a new cultural anchor event combining the rigour of a conference with the energy of a festival.
